Hello Body Gospel! Low impact and just what I need :o)

I did Body Revival yesterday with no adverse side effects. I really like this program. There is a group prayer before the and after the workouts. The music is amazing and it’s easy to forget about any problems or concerns of the day. I felt so uplifted after working out, that I could have done another one. But, I didn’t. I will continue to use this program until my surgery date or for as long as there is no pain from over exertion. So, I’m back to paying dues lite and easy :o)

My Shakeology Mix of the Week: Yummy!
1 Scoop Greenberry Shakeology
1 Scoop Shakeology Fiber Boost
1 Tb Jif Natural Peanut Butter
3 oz. Banana
3 Ice Cubes
8 oz. Cold Water

I will have to put my beloved RevAbs on hold for about about 2 months. I will be undergoing abdominal surgery in the next few weeks and will not be permitted to do any abs workouts until an okay from the doctor. I will have to pay my dues via walking for now. I am however very pleased with the results from the RevAbs program.

Maybe the doctor will okay me for TurboFire! I hear it's a lot of fun. We'll see :o)

And the winner is .....

Previously posted: The goal is a size 10. The outfit will be one of the three listed.  The deadline is Thanksgiving 2010. Please vote and leave a comment so I can keep track. If the goal is not met by the deadline, this outfit could be yours.

Thank you! The votes are in and the winner outfit is pictured!
I will be making the Jacket in Black and Gold and the Skirt in Black (below the knee length). The plan is to cut out all the pieces this weekend. I will post pics as I progress with each inch lost from my waist (goal is to lose 8 inches off the waist) until the outfit is completely done. Can it be done? Oh Yeah!

Rest Day

Although it is a rest day, I walked after meals and burned 359 calories. I'm working on being a loose size 10 by Thanksgiving. I have an outfit that I will be putting together on this blog (size 10). I'll add to the construction of the outfit each time I lose an inch off my waist. I have 8 inches to lose from my waist to fit the outfit. I have the pattern that I want to use, but I still have to pick out my fabrics. When I get that done, I'll cut it all out. I'm thinking of making small video clips to go along with it. We'll see. I'm getting really excited about this!

My Transformation Story in the Making:

I pray that you are blessed and highly favored of the Lord!

I still cry when I read my story. This is my before picture from a Mary Kay Career Conference in 2005. Although I have not reached my ultimate goal, I praise the Lord for the progress thus far.

My initial journey started February 26th of 2005 at 260 pounds and wearing a 26 size dress. Unhealthy and unhappy with, I was convinced that at my age I was too far gone, so why even think about losing the weight. Why even bother? I am married to a wonderful man. If my weight was a problem, he never let on about it. My mind-set was: "If he doesn't mind...then it doesn’t matter!" My wake-up call was the passing of a first cousin at the young age of 47. Her mother, my aunt passed away at the age of 55. Both died of Congestive Heart Failure.

I did not want to go out like that. It was at that time I made up my mind to do something about my weight and fitness level. I started with Michael Thurman’s 6 week body makeover. It helped me get a grip on my eating. With the proper eating and exercise, I was able to lose 90 pounds. In the latter part of 2006, I got comfortable and lost my mind for a minute. I went on a Fast Food Frenzy and gained 20 of the 90 pounds back. Oh No!

With Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, Heart Disease and Circulatory issues running loose in our family, I became concerned when I was waking up in the middle of the night with pain in both arms because they had fallen asleep. Mom’s a RN. She checked my blood sugar. I was relieved to discover that my sugar was excellent! Praise God!

Not wanting to take my health lightly…I jumped back on the wagon traveling the road to health and fitness. So, here I am today with a new goal to lose the 20 pounds I gained, plus 25lbs. for good measure and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

I love Beach Body Products. I started with HHA, moved to YBB, P90, SI6, CLX, RevAbs and BBL. I became so impressed with TBB that I decided to become at coach. I knew that if I can help others reach their goals, success in reaching mine would follow.

Be Blessed, Be Well, Be Fit! and don't forget to press play!

Are you a Fast Food Junkie?

To burn off the 410 calories in a Taco Bell Burrito Supreme, Beef, you'd have to dance for 70 minutes. Biking for 77 minutes will take care of a large order of fries from Wendy's.Here are some more popular fast foods—and an example of the exercise you have to do to burn them off.
1. Dunkin Don...uts Chocolate Frosted Donut (230 calories): 59 minutes of walking (3 mph).

2. McDonald's Egg McMuffin (300 calories): 32 minutes of running (5 mph).

3. Panera Chocolate Chipper (440 calories): 62 minutes of biking (10-11.9 mph).

4. One slice of a Pizza Hut Large Hand-Tossed Style Cheese Pizza (320 calories):

39 minutes of swimming (slow to moderate laps).

5. Starbucks Cinnamon Roll (500 calories, varies by location): 85 minutes of dancing.

6. Burger King Original Whopper With Cheese (770 calories): 94 minutes of swimming (slow to moderate laps).

7. 1/2 cup of Häagen-Dazs Vanilla Ice Cream (270 calories): 29 minutes of running (5 mph).

Note: The minutes of exercise are averages based on a 155-pound person. If you weigh more, you'll burn more calories per minute.

What do you think? If you're dieting, is the exercise you'd have to do after eating one of these foods worth the indulgence?

Facebook The A.M. Fat Blasters: "What to Do When You're Starving Before Bed

Steve Edwards

Here at Beachbody, we're always drilling the 'no eating for 3 hours before bedtime' rule into your head and, sure enough, it's important not to go to bed with undigested food in your stomach, especially carbohydrates and fat. So what about those nights when you're... so hungry that if you don't eat, you know it will affect your sleep?
The answer is a protein shake. Usually, truly feeling hungry is a sign indicating a lot of muscle breakdown. When you have muscle breakdown you need protein, especially at night, which is when your muscles do most of their recovering. So if you are famished, a small protein shake with no added ingredients, like fruit or milk, will not only allow you to sleep but speed up your recovery process as well."

Facebook The A.M. Fat Blasters: "Don't Try to Work Through Pain
Steve Edwards

You're working hard, making progress, and then it hits. PANG! You pull something, you twist something, you strain something. Whatever you've done, it's not crippling, so push through it. Right? Wrong.

If something doesn't feel right, your body's telling you to take care of it.... If you don't fix yourself up, it could lead to a more serious injury—or to a chronic pain that might one day become arthritic.

Instead, take time off. Ice the sore area to reduce swelling and resume the activity when there is no more pain. Then take it easy and keep icing post-workout. If the pain doesn't get better within a week, it's time to see a doctor.
